TEEN MHFA COURSE
Teen Mental Health First Aid
“The perfect Mental Health First Aid course for high school students and adolescents”.
The official Teen Mental Health First Aid Course.
WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
Our Teen Mental Health First Aid Training is the training appropriate for high school students in years 10-12, and years 7-9 in Australia.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
Teen MHFA teaches students how to provide mental health first aid to their friends. The course was developed in response to research indicating that young adolescents prefer and are more likely to share problems or concerns with their peers.
The course curriculum was established using a study that determined the best actions a young person can take to support a peer with a mental health problem.
COURSE FORMAT AND DELIVERY:
- The Teen MHFA training is delivered across 3 interactive classroom sessions of 75 minutes each, totalling 3.5 hours.
- The course caters specifically to students in years 7-9 and 10-12 and has been designed to remain engaging for adolescents in these age groups.
Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a copy of the Teen MHFA manual to keep as well as a certificate of completion.
