Teen Mental Health CHATS Workshop
An Online or Face to Face Mental Health Workshop customised for teens
What are our CHATS Workshops all about?
This evidence based workshop runs for three hours and can be delivered face to face or via zoom.
In this workshop, students (year 7 – 12) learn how to follow the Teen Mental Health CHATS Action Plan to recognise a developing mental health problem in their friends, along with knowledge about common mental health conditions.
CHATS Stands for:
CHANGE – Look out for any noticeable changes in your friends behaviour, mood or appearance.
HANG OUT – Take the time to hang out with them.
ASK – Would you like to chat? Be sure to listen carefully to what they are saying.
TEAM UP – If, after chatting, you are still concerned then encourage them to talk to a trusted adult.
SAY you will check in again in a couple of fays if that’s ok with them.
